A Really Long Break...sort of
I'm back, at least today I am. We have had a really whirlwind, no pun intended, kind of month. If you have read one of my books you know I live in Galveston near the beach. What many may not know is that Galveston is an island right off the coast of Texas which happens to be not too far from where Hurricane Harvey decided to land about a month ago. While we were EXTREMELY fortunate that we had little to no damage (just some minor things because of the hurricane force winds) we were effected by the inability to travel. It wasn't just us not being able to basically leave the island but nothing was able to get onto the island for almost a week. Groceries and gas were scarce. Luckily we had full pantry and refrigerators and it was only myself and my husband. Our youngest son was staying with his older brother in Oklahoma (for longer than we planned).
